Gettin' WAVY out at MNWSC - Lake Minnetonka, MN
The Minnesota Wake Surf Competition was an eye opening event for many reasons. Not only did we link up with old friends to catch up about the past, we took some great steps into our future. We ended up setting up our tent next to the Sound Connection booth and met Cody Breitbach, who owns his very own company, Wake Life. Wake Life specializes in wake surf lessons from beginners all the way to the expert divisions. They have a 5 star rating on their Facebook page from their patient efforts and positive attitudes, so go toss them a like. Cody brought us out for a one on one wake surfing lesson behind the 2014 Malibu Wakesetter, which a was a hell of an experience to say the least!
That isn't the only step we took that day. Hive Apparel picked up a new rider that we had our eyes fixed on; Frankie Jost. She is 15 years old, and was homeschooled in Barbados so she could spend her afternoons surfing the coast, which is how she became what she is today. Frankie has her own pro model Idol wake surf board she reps at every competition, and is sponsored by several other companies.
Frankie's Father owns her own company who runs a similar operation to Cody. Mike Jost started HangLooseMN based out of Alexandria, which offers wake surfing lessons, wake boat assistance, stand up paddle board sales, rentals, lessons, & guided lake tours!
